Nimesh Patel

De Amerikaanse stand-up comedian en schrijver Nimesh Patel komt naar Amsterdam voor een show. Het is zijn eerste show ooit in Nederland.

Nimesh Patel staat bekend om het hoge niveau van zijn grappen en zijn enorme werklust. Die combinatie heeft ervoor gezorgd dat hij een van de snelstgroeiende comedians van het Amerikaanse circuit is. Hij verkoopt inmiddels naast prominente comedyclubs ook grote theaters uit.

Daarnaast is hij een begenadigd schrijver, wat hem zelfs een Emmy-nominatie opleverde. Toen Chris Rock hem op het podium zag, vroeg hij Nimesh Patel meteen als schrijver voor de Academy Awards, en nam hij hem mee als voorprogramma. Daarnaast heeft Patel geschreven voor Saturday Night Live, A Little Late with Lilly Singh, het Correspondents Dinner van het Witte Huis en was hij producent voor Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.

Als stand-up comedian heeft hij drie specials uitgebracht. Jokes To Get You Through Quarantine, Thank You, China, en Lucky Lefty zorgden voor miljoenen kijkers overal ter wereld. Nimesh verscheen onlangs nog in The Tonight Show met Jimmy Fallon en maakte zijn debuut in Late Night met Seth Meyers.

Nu zijn naam in de VS gevestigd is, steekt hij de oceaan over voor zijn eerste grote Europese shows.
